what makes OUR MICRO SCHOOL unique?

  • PART TIME: 2 & 3 DAY OPTIONS

    FULL TIME: 4 & 5 DAY OPTIONS

  • Our approach to education is centered around learner agency and competency based learning. Learners are empowered to take ownership of decisions surrounding their education, resulting in a greater sense of autonomy, mastery, and purpose.

  • Children learn with and from one another in a multi-age environment that fosters empathy, cooperation, and peer leadership.

  • Children have the opportunity to explore neighborhoods, cities, and field outings that expand learning beyond the classroom through a place-based approach.

  • The classroom benefits from multiple educators collaborating to plan lessons, share perspectives, and personalize learning for each child.

  • Progress is measured through mastery of skill rather than grades. Learners move forward when they’ve demonstrated understanding and application.

  • A young child with curly brown hair, wearing a colorful bird-patterned shirt, is sitting at a wooden table and playing with a wooden toy and red string inside a room with large green plants, a small black wallet, and a white cabinet with colorful toys and pictures.

    TODDLER

    18 MONTHS- 3 YEARS

Rooted in Montessori principles, our youngest learners explore through movement, music, and purposeful play — developing coordination, confidence, and a love of learning.

  • Young child painting with watercolors at a table in a classroom or art space, focused on their artwork.

    PRIMARY

    3 YEARS - KINDGERGARTEN

Primary learners build independence through hands-on exploration and imaginative play. Using Montessori materials and project-based activities, children develop foundational skills in literacy, math, and social connection — all at their own pace.

  • Two young girls playing Connect Four game at a classroom table with school supplies around.

    ELEMENTARY

    1ST GRADE - 6TH GRADE

Curious, imaginative, and full of big ideas — our elementary learners ask questions, make connections, and dive into projects that stretch across subjects. Group work, community outings, and hands-on exploration help them see how everything fits together. “Big work” and “deep work” come naturally as learners build focus, confidence, and creativity.

  • Four children sitting around a table in a classroom, looking at a laptop together, with books, notebooks, and a map on the table, windows showing a green outdoor scene.

    ADOLESCENT

    7TH GRADE - 9TH GRADE

Middle school at CASCO is all about purpose and possibility. Learners take on real-world projects, collaborate with peers and mentors, and explore growing independence through meaningful work. Whether they’re leading discussions, designing businesses, or studying city systems firsthand, they discover how their ideas can make an impact in the world around them.
