CASCO CAMPUS on the hill

A learner-centered environment where education extends beyond the classroom.

Our St. Louis campus in The Hill neighborhood is the heart of CASCO’s hybrid micro-school — a community space where learners explore with purpose, families find flexibility, and learning flows between home, school, and the world around us.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A micro-school is a small, relationship-centered learning community where children are known, supported, and encouraged to learn in ways that work for them.
With fewer learners and a close partnership with families, micro-schools create space for individualized learning, independence, and meaningful connection.

  • The hybrid model allows learners to split their week between home and campus.

Our educators coordinate lessons and projects so that learning flows seamlessly between the two environments.

Families select the number of campus days that best fits their schedule — 2, 3, or 4 days per week — while remaining fully part of the CASCO community.

  • Our approach blends Montessori principles, project-based learning, and community-based experiences. Learning is child-led and interest-driven, with a focus on process over product.

We follow a thoughtful developmental sequence to support each child’s growth over time, while also integrating Missouri grade-level standards to guide personalized learning and ensure meaningful academic growth.

Learners explore hands-on materials, collaborate on meaningful projects, and engage in thematic, interdisciplinary studies that connect to the real world. Through our daily CC (CASCO Culture) lessons, we build cultural literacy and civic awareness—learning how to think, listen, share ideas, and participate thoughtfully in a community.

At the heart of it all, we honor curiosity, autonomy, and deep engagement.
