COACHING & WORKSHOPS

We understand navigating childhood can often feel like navigating a paper boat across the Atlantic. Our objective is to help families and educators not lose sight of the horizon that awaits brighter days and to empower each other to shift the sails rather than control the winds.

Children are resilient and adaptable, and with our guidance, they can learn to orient themselves and follow their internal compass. Much like the hull of the boat helps it stay afloat even amidst the roughest waters, we too can provide the same support for our children. The hull is responsible for creating ripples that spread and make their mark on a blank canvas of still water in the same way children grow up to make their mark on our world.

GROW THROUGH WHAT YOU GO THROUGH

Growing pains are a normal part of life. As parents and guardians to children, we often spend more time worrying about whom they will become tomorrow, that we can fall into the habit of overlooking the person they are today.

SET THE STAGE

In the same way that we are unable to control the wind, we cannot control our children's behavior. And when you think about it, we shouldn't want to! If our common objective is to raise independent, confident and kind humans, then these humans need to learn to be in full control of their own behavior, right? Or at least mostly in control :)

THE BITTERSWEET SPIRAL OF CHILDREN'S GROWTH

Do you ever feel like you and your child are just going in circles? Well, that is probably because you are. But fear not, that is not necessarily a bad thing!

Children's development is not linear.

Their progression and learning would be better represented by a spiral. Depending on your perspective (does that sound familiar?!), it can appear to be a repetitive circle, when in fact, it is an ever so slow, upward moving spiral.

Why bittersweet? Think about it this way

THE POWER OF A STORY

Captivate. Connect. Inspire. Then repeat!

There is nothing more powerful to entice children into wanting to learn more than the power of a story.

From historical events to courtesy lessons and everything in between, stories allow us to introduce concepts to our children in a way they are familiar with, absorbing new information.

TRUST IN YOURSELF

Parenting can often be split into two categories: the parenting that occurs during calm and happy moments and the parenting that occurs during the meltdowns and the high tension interactions. Both are equally valid and important!
